Worship

Worship at Trottiscliffe CE Primary School takes place at school, and in our parish church

We visit the church for special services throughout the year – Harvest, Christmas, Mothering Sunday, Easter and the Year 6 Leavers’ Service in July.

Mothering Sunday Service

We enjoyed our Mother’s Day Service in church with contributions from each class, including this bunting made by Sapphire class.

In past centuries, Mothering Sunday, on the fourth Sunday of Lent, was a time for people to return to their mother church; in particular, it became a day when domestic servants were given a day off to visit their mother church and so, often, their families and their own mothers as well. Today, we still keep it as a day to celebrate family and to give thanks for a mother’s care.
